Thanks for coming to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section. Our goal at Picture Block is to make the process of video production as clear and easy as possible. Below are answers to a few questions, but feel free to email and ask us any questions that you may still have.
Q: How long does a video take to create from start-to-finish?
A: The time it takes to complete a project varies greatly, but our best "ballpark" response is 2-3 weeks from first contact.
Q: How much do videos cost?
A: In any industry it is an art to balance value and quality, and video is no exception. With each service we offer three levels of pricing so you can get the product and craftsmanship you want at the right price.
Q: What exactly am I paying for?
A: Picture Block is a turnkey boutique agency, which is a fancy way of saying that we handle everything for you from start-to-finish. When we're done with the project, it's yours to use as you like. When we send a proposal it will cover every step of your project.
- Scripting, Production Logistics
- Crew and Production Equipment
- Editing, Color Correction, Music
- Digital Delivery and Website Integration
Q: What's the process?
A: We use the same tried-and-true methods as Hollywood productions, but we do it on a scale that is right for you. In fact, most of our contractors are working on feature films and television production when they're not partnering with us.
- Post Production
Pre-production includes all the planning, production refers to the "lights, camera, action" part, and then post-production covers the editing.
At Picture Block we tend to spend a little more time in pre-production. We believe that every video must have a communication objective and we like to take our time developing a clear strategy before the cameras and lights come out.
Q: Who's involved?
A: Ryan Prouty is the founder and Executive Producer of Picture Block: he is involved in every project. Our biggest strength is in understanding the client's needs and using video to create a solution. We use our network of contractors to help bring our vision to life with specific tasks such as creating music and making 3D graphics.
